The May 2017 monthly theme on Projekt ilustrace was 'illustration of the works by Edgar Allan Poe' and while there are many interesting stories which I would find interesting to illustrate, I chose The Fall of the House of Usher because it is one of my favourite Poe's stories, I love its captivating imagery, but also because I didn't have much time to finish the picture for the monthly contest and drawing architecture and sceneries has always been easier for me than some portraits or scenes involving characters. It was quite a relaxing piece of work and enjoyed drawing it, while listening to an audiobook of Poe's short stories. I think I could have drawn it better, if I had more time, but still I hope you like it.
