Description
Svatá hora (literally "Holy Mountain") is a famous place of pilgrimage near the town of Příbram, Czech Republic. There is a beautiful Baroque basilica of Our Lady, a Redemptorist monastery and a complex of other buildings. Here you can see a well chapel.
I was there last autumn and it was just the marvelous time of year when the trees turn gold. Luckily the sun also came out shining and the place full of maples, birches, oaks, larches and cherry trees look just like colourful paradise. I took many photos there and also made one of them into an oil painting. Those of you who are familiar with my gallery may have noticed that the photo I used as reference is already there.
In fact it is my first oil painting ever, but I hope it's not that bad.
